چکیده
Background and Aim: COVID-19 is an acute respiratory illness caused by the severe syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). A few studies with conflicting results have been performed to evaluate relationship between use of angiotensin system inhibitors outcomes. Therefore, this study was compare clinical paraclinical characteristics patients in two groups treated angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACEIs)/angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) control group (no history ACEIs/ARBs) Kamkar Shahid Beheshti hospitals Qom City, Iran from March 14, 2019, end September 21, 2020. Materials Methods: This retrospective descriptive reviewing medical record 359 COVID-19, which confirmed a physician via lung scan or reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). We used independent t test quantitative variables Chi-square analyze qualitative variables. Results: The common symptoms, number hospitalization days, oxygen saturation, involvement were not significantly different groups. Weakness, nausea, sweating reduced compared ACEIs/ARBs (P<0.05). Regarding biochemical study, patients’ hemoglobin levels lymphocyte count on first day lower than (P<0.05) Conclusion: These findings do provide evidence adverse beneficial effects inhibitors, so we require more detailed larger sample size.

Renin-angiotensin system and unilateral ureteral obstruction
Unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO) is a clinical scenario that leads to obstructive nephropathy. UUO alters the expression of many mediators in the ipsilateral kidney. Renin-angiotensin system (RAS) is involved in UUO. Angiotensin II (Ang II) and angiotensin 1-7 (Ang 1-7) as the main arms of RAS influence kidney function which may alter by UUO. Ang II via Ang II receptor subtypes I (AT1R) ...
متن کاملInhibition of the renin–angiotensin system
• In patients with established evidence-based indications for inhibition of the renin–angiotensin system, for example congestive cardiac failure or chronic kidney disease with proteinuria, this treatment should not generally be withheld on the basis of renovascular disease. • When an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor or angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) are used in patients with re...
متن کاملClinical pathology and treatment of renin-angiotensin system 3. Atherosclerosis and the renin-angiotensin system.
Atherosclerosis is an inflammatory disease characterized by endothelial dysfunction, thereby leading to the accumulation of macrophage-derived foam cells in the vessel wall. Endothelial cells, intimal smooth muscle cells, and leukocytes produce a wide range of inflammatory cytokines, chemokines, and growth factors in the multifactorial process of atherosclerosis. Angiotensin II (Ang II) has bee...
